We had lunch at Jonas Pares located at the Robinson's Place - Pioneer (Mandaluyong). According to their ads, the owner was the pioneer of the "Pares" dish of serving fried rice and beef together. We ordered their mami with beef and chicken, siomai, fish fillet sticks with rice and fish with tofu. Their servings were very generous - good for sharing. A pares dish of P90.00 can be shared by two people. I love their noodles - white, soft and
thick - the soup was also tasty. The noodles (similar to
Ersao) are better than other noodle shops. Our son, Geoffrey had high praises for the noodles - "it's better than the Kowloon noodles", he said. Their fried rice topped with garlic and green onion was also nice - very appropriate for its "pares" viand (fish, beef or even siomai). Serving good food at affordable price really makes this restaurant as the ads says "a restaurant with a conscience. "

Masarap sa Jonas yung iced tea and other refreshments...ung pares...di ako satisfied sa lasa...
galing ako kanina sa jonas mayon branch. nakakainis lang yung cashier e. before kasi may bad experience na kami sa pag susukli nila pag mag tatake out ka.. LAGING KULANG YUNG SUKLI. kasi diba nagmamadali ka or susuksok mo nalang sa bag mo yung sukli... kanina naman yung nasa receipt indi nila na punch yung PARES. so syempre ang tendency is lalaki yung sukli ko. dapat ang sukli ko is around 270 plus syempre binilang ko sukli ko, 161 lang! yun nga di nila sinama yung pares sa total bill ko sa official receipt sabi sken ng cashier " AY TAMA YANG SUKLI KO SAYO WALA LANG YUNG PARES SA RECEIPT KASI KANINA CALCULATOR GAMIT KO" parang... huh?!?!? bakit nyo kelangan ng calculator e meron kayong 2 na cash register...
guys! bilangin nyo ng maigi yung sukli nyo pag sa mayon branch. nakakainis kasi e.
bukas tatawag ako sa main office nila para ireklamo to. ayaw ko na maexperience ng mga food lover ng katulad ng naexperience ko...
and oo nga pala. nag take out ako ng siomai and siopao. akalain mo meron silang sinama sa receipt ko na mini pao ba yun na 2 worth 65 pesos na indi ko naman inorder at wala dun sa binigay nila. biglang nag kambyo ginawa nyang VOID yung unang na punch nya sa receipt. hay nako nakakainis!!!
